WEST 32ND
A gangland thriller set against the violence and corruption of New York's Korea Town.
John is a young American-born Korean attorney fresh from college and trying to prove himself. Taking on a pro bono case defending a 14-year-old accused of killing a prominent gangster, he finds himself thrown into a world both familiar and foreign - a world centred on West 32nd Street, home of New York's Korea Town.
Befriending Mike, an ambitious footsoldier in the Korean mob, John finds himself drawn to the lawless world of Korean organised crime.
Director Michael Kang's sophomore feature takes us into a world never before presented on film, the seedy underground of Manhattan's Korea Town, a world of gang violence and corruption to rival the Yakuza and Triads.
