FUJIAN BLUE

“A headlong dive into the company of reckless Chinese youths.” - Variety
In the gritty hub that is China's Fujian province, human cargo, illegal emigration and blackmail are part of everyday life. One of the first coastal areas of China to be opened to the outside world, it has become an entry point for all the trappings of the Western world, good and bad, and an exit point for anyone trying to get away. Amerika and Dragon are heirs to this legacy of decadence and self-destruction; they spend their time scamming money from women having extramarital affairs. Dragon has turned to crime to pay an usurious debt his family has incurred, and is forced to flee as a result, while the embittered Amerika sets out to blackmail his own mother, with unexpected results.
