An old lady repeatedly interrupts and corrects a scientist delivering a serious lecture to an otherwise attentive and silent audience. When she was a little girl she had visited the country described by the lecturer. with her father. She can remember tt all clearly. ln fact, she lives so extensively in the past that she is unable to make friends with the other tenants in the house where she lives. Her flat is unnecessarily large for her. and in the other hats people are living in overcrowded conditions. She is persuaded to go to the street corner in Budapest where people meet to exchange apartments. where she might get the order of a smaller flat which is also more to her liking than the others in the house where she lives ....
