A SAFE PLACE
A Safe Place is a highly experimental feature, directed by a new director, Henry Jaglom. In his film, Jaglom, who also wrote the script, attempts to give "an involved and non-linear study of time and memory".
A young girl is unable to recapture the idealism and freedom of her childhood, but is equally unable to let go of the past, or accept the inevitability of the present. She seems to remember that she was able to fly as a little girl; she meets a magician father figure, who entertains her with stories and magic tricks; she is torn between two lovers. . .
