The Indian Speaks
The Indians who speak in this film express no injury, no common complaint, but reveal some of the dimensions of the general cultural deprivation of Indians.
It is the consciousness of an Indian tradition slipping away with nothing equally satisfying or significant to take its place, that this film discovers wherever it goes. But it is a film about people, individual Indians in Canada who value the rich and varied culture of their past and who wish to preserve what is left and restore what is gone.
