THE SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE
Balul de Sîmbata Seara
A shy young truckie keeps every weekend free from engagements in case he should be lucky enough to meet, at the Saturday night dance, a nice girl who would never let him down. But all of a sudden two desirable girls, a blonde and a brunette, make advances to him at the same time. He finds he loves them both. . . .
This is a disarming little situation comedy with some engaging players from a director with a promising comedic flair. Quaintly inventive, and shot against some realistic backgrounds, it contains some amusing sideswipes at television programmes on workers' attitudes and has much of the light charm of a musical without music.
