NOLAN AT SIXTY
The Australian artist, Sidney Nolan, returns home to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Sydney University on his sixtieth birthday. This film follows his activities in Australia, England (where he now lives), and Africa. His current travels are seen against a broad canvas of output from the last forty years that has made Nolan the most famous Australian painter of any generation, and whose work is also well known in many parts of the world. The commentary is by Kenneth Clark.
