The Last Crop
Sue Clayton's bitter-sweet comedy is an adaption of an Elizabeth Jolly story, with a fine performance by Kerry Walker as Arm Sweeney, her "cleaner with a conscience" whose selfhess generosity to her kids (a surly delinquent played by Noah Taylor and a directionless daughter who wants everyone to be happy, played by Sarah Hooper) and her friends (who she allows to make use of the expensive apartment she cleans, during the owners' absence) initially fails to generate the gratitude it deserves.
