Luke's Party
Orchestrated chaos, as the interviewee of this mock documentary struggles to tell her story in the face of continual interruptions by children, neighbours, social security inspectors, debt collectors, repairmen, et al. A funny, sad, exasperating and delightful film which parodies cinema verite and features a strong central performance that upstages Essie Coffey's in My Survival as an Aboriginal. (F.F)
