A Tadpole Tale
Tadpoles don't stay as tadpoles, and in a kitchen things have a way of ending up in the pot. This very short film uses an economical technique (back-lit sand on glass) that lends itself to big moves and transformation. It is used very skilfully here to define character, space and time.
With no narration and good use of sound, the film tells a black tale that is amusing, but has the truth of life's hard lessons as well. A cautionary tale for kids - and adults - who like to keep little secrets about living things.
