Grateful Dead - A Photofilm
Working from just four rolls of black and white photographs of The Grateful Dead taken by Linda Eastman in 1967/68 (pre motor drive cameras) Paul McCartney brings the Dead back to life with computer trickery—lengthening shortening morphing speeding and slowing the sequence of stills into a photofilm as McCartney modestly likes to call it.
At home in San Francisco and on stage in Central Park Linda captures the band at a little recorded early stage in their career—the sound track draws from recordings of the same period A nostalgic memento from a passionate fan. (TB)
