ARLINGTON ROAD
A nail-biting exercise in political paranoia featuring first rate performances from leads Tim Robbins and Jeff Bridges. Michael Faraday (Bridges) is rebuilding his life after the death of his FBI agent wife, killed while on stake-out of suspected militia members. His young son is feeling alienated, grieving for his mother and unsure of the role that his father's new girlfriend, Hope, will play in his life.
The shocking opening sequence sees Faraday whisk a child, Brady Lang, off to the emergency ward when he finds him wandering the street, bleeding and in shock from a fireworks explosion. After a tremendously designed title sequence by Hollywood hotshot Kyle Cooper (Se7en, Mission Impossible, Mimic. Donnie Brasco), Faraday makes the acquaintance of his new neighbours, the Langs, an almost Brady Bunch perfect ail-American household who are eternally grateful for Faraday's assistance. Poking below their suburban surface, Faraday begins to have grave suspicions about his neighbours, suspicions that are dismissed as unbalanced and unfounded by his closest friends and the authorities. What ensues is a race against the clock and a malevolent scheme to blow downtown Washington sky high. Intelligent action and suspense galore!
