DANCE OF DUST
RAGHSE KHAK
Dance of Dust is an evocative study of the almost unbelievably harsh life of Ilia, a boy living in a desolate rural backwater. Eking out a living working in a brick kiln, Ilia is haunted by mysterious whisperings calling him to other realms. His attraction to Limua, the daughter of a seasonal worker, becomes his reason lo endure. The arrival of the rains signals the end of the season and Limua must move on. A simple, poetic, deeply moving masterwork, reminiscent of Baraka (1992) in its style and visual finesse.
