On Monday August 7 Triple R goes live from the MIFF Festival Lounge at Forum Melbourne. From 4pm catch Maps with Fee B-Squared for interviews and panel discussions around select Music on Film titles, as well as live performances. Then, from 7–8pm the crew from Plato's Cave review some of their special picks from the festival.

Steven Kilbey
Steven Kilbey was born in 1954 in England. He was a ten pound pom and migrated to Australia with his parents at age 3. In 1980, he formed The Church, who were inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame in 2010. in 2012 Kilbey was inducted into Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Church have released over 30 LPs, with 1988’s Starfish selling over one million copies in America. Kilbey paints, writes blogs, poems and articles and has published his memoirs Something Quite Peculiar.

Mike Brook
Mike was born and raised in Perth, and studied photography film & TV at Mt Lawley TAFE. After graduating, Mike left for the UK where he joined SKY TV, rising to become a Senior Editor before embarking on a freelance career. He has worked across the world on a variety of projects, including short and long form documentary, corporate, advertising and live sporting events. Mike moved into directing with his 2014 debut feature documentary Don't Throw Stones, which premiered at MIFF. Something Quite Peculiar is his second feature documentary as director.

Cerise Howard is the Artistic Director of the Czech and Slovak Film Festival of Australia, a freelance writer and peregrine film critic recently restored to Australian shores after a stint as a writer for Festival Daily, the newspaper of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. She can regularly be heard talking film on 3RRR's 'Plato's Cave' and bringing it on bass with punk, performance art, queer rock band Queen Kong and the HOMOsapiens.

Emma Westwood is a writer from Melbourne, and broadcaster on Triple R FM's Plato's Cave film criticism program, with an interest in horror and extreme cinema. She is the author of Monster Movies (Pocket Essentials, UK, 2008) and is currently working on a monograph on David Cronenberg's The Fly (1986) for the Devil's Advocates series.

Alexandra Heller-Nicholas is an editor at Senses of Cinema and the author of Rape-Revenge Films: A Critical Study (McFarland, 2011), Found Footage Horror Film: Fear and the Appearance of Reality (McFarland, 2014), a monograph on Dario Argento's Suspiria (part of Auteur's Devil's Advocates series), and her book on Abel Ferrara's Ms. 45 was released in January 2017 as part of Wallflower/Columbia University Press's Cultographies series. She is the 2017 Australian Film Institute Research Collection Research Fellow and a researcher at the University of Melbourne and the Victorian College of the Arts.

Tara Judah is an Australian critic, broadcaster and programmer based in the UK. Director at 20th Century Flicks video shop, Curator and Online Editor for Cinema Rediscovered and Trustee on the Board of Directors at Curzon Cinema & Arts, Tara is passionate about cinema-going, and photochemical and repertory film. She is a regular contributor to Monocle24’s Cinema Show, Senses of Cinema and desistfilm.
