Acclaimed filmmaker Maya Newell (In My Blood It Runs, MIFF 2019; Gayby Baby, MIFF 2015) collaborates with transgender trailblazer Georgie Stone for this powerful story of activism and gender affirmation.

On the day of her gender-affirmation surgery, Stone – a pioneering 19-year-old trans activist – looks back on her struggles to find her voice and fight for the agency of transgender youth. Newell recounts Stone’s story through a wealth of archival footage and intimate material.
