Dance to Freedom
1954
/ USA/Germany
Two of the leaders of the Hungarian State Ballet, lstvan Rabovsky and his wife Nora Kovach, decide to escape to the West. They subsequently appear with several leading American and European ballet companies. Although the story is based on fact, the featurette has considerable library material added; the highlights of the film are the numerous short ballet excerpts. The American commentary is interspersed with passages of dialogue in Hungarian, German and English.
