Flower Show
Victorian-era high society’s stifling views of women are shown in full bloom.
At the annual flower show, young girls giddily preen themselves for the festivities while their elders navigate their world’s suffocating expectations of women. Having screened at Rotterdam and Annecy, Elli Vuorinen’s icky, satirical comedy explores the ways that women and girls have been cultivated like flowers for generations.
