For two young women stuck in suburban Hobart, there’s little to do but gossip, vent and take another hit from the bong.
Tasmanian-based Portuguese filmmaker Miguel de Jesus creates an experimental frisson via the juxtaposition of, and dislocation between, sound and image. Imogen and Audrey’s candid and intimate conversation is set against oft-unrelated grainy celluloid images that range from wholesome to quotidian to disturbing.
