Shé (Snake)
A violin student’s competitiveness manifests as grotesque, nightmarish creatures.
Fei is a high-achieving violin student. When fellow violinist Mei joins her school orchestra, Fei sees her as a threat – and it’s not long before her pride slithers and scuttles out of her. Directed by Renee Zhan (Soft Animals, MIFF 2022; O Black Hole!, MIFF 2021), Shé (Snake) dramatises the cost of excellence and success.
